Kristin Sullivan (Ph.D. Anthropology, University of Maryland, College Park) is the Curator and Folklorist at the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University (Salisbury, MD), and an adopted member of the Accohannock Indian Tribe. Her interests include issues of heritage management and conservation, with special interest in the place of material culture (people's stuff!) in interpretation and education related to community heritage. Recent research projects include a study of Chincoteague, VA decoy carving and hunting traditions; and a study of indigenous cultural landscapes, with focus on the Nanticoke River watershed.

The Assateague People would like to thank the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art for a wonderful day of sharing and teaching our Native American culture. A great time was had by all.
